Tony Celiberti

 

Tony Celiberti is an accomplished musician and businessperson, a highly successful career genuinely reflects his talent, drive and positive personality.

Tony originated from a musical family and was first introduced to music at the age of six, where he began learning piano and trumpet whilst undertaking AMEB practical and theory examinations including eisteddfod performances. His professional career began at the age of sixteen where he taught piano and played in many live musical acts from Solo/duo work, and ensembles, and later went on to secure the role as pianist in WAJO – West Australian Jazz Youth Orchestra.

His musical talent earned him an Oscar Peterson scholarship education at the renowned Berklee School of Music in Boston USA (1984)

Tony has written music (notation) for many! many! many ! music books  including PVG (Piano Vocal Guitar) styled books, for a diverse range of artists such as: Delta Goodrem, John Farnham, Wiggles,  Jet, Australian Idol, ABC kids’ songbooks, Eskimo Joe, Gabriella Cilmi, Thirsty Merc, Powder finger, Guy Sebastian, Pete Murray, Sara Storer, Fruit, George, Bernard Fanning, Kylie Minogue, Cold Chisel, Sting, James Reyne, ACDC, Crowded House and many other artists attached to Music Sales Worldwide and is today still an exclusive music arranger for the world wide company  “Music Sales”

Tony’s song writing skills led to a worldwide 5 yr publishing Contract with Warner Chappell. (worldwide)

HISTORY

Tony was awarded the industry and commerce of the year award for 2006.

Tony achieved distinction in Cert. 3 & 4  in audio engineering and production at JMC School of Engineering. Sydney NSW in 2000.

Tony is a registered and certified Assessor in assessment and workplace training. (Certificate IV).

Tony has had 38 years of teaching experience including performing, music ranging, composing, recording, producing, engineering, assessing and as a keyboard – demonstrator

Tony was selected as part of the audio team for the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000.

Tony spent several years as an exclusive keyboard demonstrator for Panasonic Australia.

Tony wrote, Co wrote, many jingles for TV & radio in Perth W. Aust. and Sydney (NSW)  including country areas.

Tony has backed, performed and toured with many Australian artists, including:  Dave Stewart (Eurhythmics), Nick Giannopoulos “Wogs Out Of Work” including “Regal Theatre Perth”,  Air Supply, Racey, Boom Crash Opera, Swanee, The Seekers, Lonnie Lee, Colleen Hewett, Eddie Youngblood, Tony Pantano, and many others (1979 – 1983).

Recorded demos with Legendary Dave Stewart from “The Eurhythmics” at Planet studios Perth WA  (1990).

Tony has performed and held residencies in USA, Rome and London  (1988).

Tony has booked and secured contracts for performances from Perth to Darwin for a period of eight months at one time.  (1991 – 1993)

Tony spent eight years in Sydney (NSW) performing and teaching. many hours of session work in professional studios presented hands on experience in this area including the use of analogue 16 & 24 track recorders, digital recorders, and multi channel mixing consoles incl. an array of outboard gear. (1994 – 2000).

Today, Tony is owner of the Wellard School Of music.

Tony currently holds a WWC “Working with children’s card”.
