Haley Welch Violin Specialist/Educator/Mentor

“There is so much incredible music you can make with four strings and a bow!”
Inspiring confidence, creativity, and a love of music—one beautiful sound at a time

Hello, my name is Haley, and I am passionate about helping students discover the magic, beauty, and expressive power of the violin.

My teaching goes beyond technique. I focus on building confident, creative musicians who feel deeply connected to their instrument and the music they play. Influenced by Mimi Zweig and Suzuki pedagogy, my lessons are nurturing, adaptive, and engaging—designed to be supportive, non-competitive, and genuinely enjoyable for every student.

With over 20 years of performance experience, I have worked as a classical soloist, orchestral and ensemble musician, session player, and contemporary worship band member. This broad musical background allows me to teach a wide range of styles and tailor each lesson to reflect a student’s interests, personality, and goals.

Learning the violin is both challenging and profoundly rewarding. I believe a lifelong love of music is formed when students see themselves in what they are learning. Through violin study, children develop discipline, creativity, focus, resilience, and confidence—skills that shape them far beyond the music room.

I currently teach at the Wellard School of Music.
